Small businesses in Nigeria sell where their customers already are: Instagram DMs, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp. Orders, prices and delivery questions pile up in chat threads, and the owner answers them by hand, often late at night, with the catalog living in a notes app or a spreadsheet.
Generic chatbots don't fix this. They answer from generic knowledge, not from the business's own stock, orders and policies, and they rarely make it easy for a person to step in.
Nexium Pilot pairs the commerce tools a small business needs, a storefront, catalog and orders, with an AI assistant called Pilot. A business connects its own Instagram, Facebook Page and WhatsApp number by logging in and authorising access, and can disconnect at any time.
Pilot is designed to answer customers who message the business first, using only that business's own catalog, orders and policies. A customer can ask for a person at any time, and the business can take over a conversation whenever it wants. Businesses tell their customers that an AI assistant may reply.
Nexium Pilot is in development and early access. It has not launched, and we are not publishing usage figures or customer results. If you run a small business and want a place when early access opens, join the list on the product page.
